Zofia Artymowska
1923–2000 Painter, graphic artist, author of polychromes, illustrator, lecturer. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (1950). She was a teacher at the Acadedy of Fine Arts in Kraków and Warsaw, the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wrocław, and at the Universities of Baghdad and Teheran. In the early period of her work, she dealt with wall painting and mosaics, later graphics, easel painting and drawing. In 1970, she began working on her main series of paintings Polyforms.
