Maria Pinińska-Bereś
1931–1999 Sculptor and performer, author of installations and environments, considered as one of the pioneers of feminist art. Wife of the sculptor Jerzy Bereś and mother of the painter Bettina Bereś. A graduate of the Sculpture Department of the Academy of Fine Arts (1956). From 1979, a member of the II Kraków Group. Long-term organizer and curator of the Sculpture of the Year exhibitions (1962–1980).
