Tadeusz Kalinowski

1909–1997 A Polish painter, stage designer, graphic designer. Home Army soldier and Warsaw Rising insurgent. Member of the Association of Polish Fine Artists. Cooperated with most significant directors of the inter-War period: Leon Schiller and Wilam Horzyca. Co-founder of the first post-War avant-garde artist group, 4F+R (Forma, Farba, Faktura, Fantastyka+Realizm / Form, Paint, Texture, Fantasy+Realism).

Works in collections i.a.: National Museums in Poznań, Warsaw and Szczecin, Silesian Museum in Katowice, District Museum in Bydgoszcz and private collections in Poland, Germany, Austria, Sweden and USA.

Selected exhibitions: BWA, Zielona Góra (1975); BWA Arsenał, Poznań (1976); Akumulatory 2, Poznań (1984); RR Gallery, Warsaw (1984); Artists from Poznań 1945–1985, National Museum, Poznań (1986); BWA Arsenał, Poznań (1993), retrospective exhibition, National Museum, Poznań (2009).
