b. 1960 A Polish painter, performer and initiator of socially and ecologically engaged artistic activities. A co-founder of the legendary Wrocław-based LUXUS Group, associated with the Polish independent art scene of the 1980s. Graduate of the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Since the 1980s she has developed interdisciplinary practices combining painting, performance, communal actions and ecological activism. Creator and co-creator of numerous collective artistic initiatives, including VOLANS. Contemporary Art in 1000 Pieces, the Floating Festival Beyond the Walls and the FLOW/Przepływ artistic residency on the Vistula River. Her work is deeply connected with environmental awareness, alternative spirituality, communal experience and non-institutional forms of artistic collaboration. Laureate of the Katarzyna Kobro Award (2019).
