Jerzy Tchórzewski
1928 - 1999 A Polish painter, draftsman, teacher, artistic activist, poet. A Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. A co-founder of Grupa Krakowska II (i.a. .Jerzy Bereś, Tadeusz Brzozowski, Tadeusz Kantor, Jerzy Nowosielski). Engaged in Phases, an international formation. A winner of Jan Cybis Award (1986), J. G. von Herder Award in Vienna (1993), Cyprian Kamil Norwid Artistic Critique Award (1981) and the award granted at the Polish Exhibition of Young Art in Arsenał (1955).
