August Zamoyski
1893 - 1970 A Polish sculptor and theoretician of art. He lived in France from 1955. One of the precursors of Cubism and Futurism in Poland. A co-founder of the first avant-garde art groups - Formiści (1917 - 1922, Leon Chwistek, Tytus Czyżewski, Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz) and Bunt (1918 ? 1920, Adam Bederski, Małgorzata i Stanisław Kubiccy, Władysław Skotarek, Stefan Szmaj, Jerzy Wroniecki).
Works in collections: National Museum in Warsaw, Krakow, Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, Museu de Arte da Pampucha in Belo Horizonte, August Zamoyski Museum in Jabłoń, Musee Auguste Zamoyski in Prieure des Granges.
