Wanda Gołkowska
1925–2013 Artist, pioneer of conceptual art and op art. She worked in painting, drawing, spatial forms. A graduate of the PWSSP in Wrocław (1952), where she was a lecturer for many years. In 1991, she received the title of full professor. She co-founded the “Search for Form and Color” group and the “Wrocław Group”. She participated in all the most important events of the Polish avant-garde, e.g. in “The Plein Air” in Osieki (1964–1981), the Wrocław’70 Visual Arts Symposium, the 1st Biennale of Spatial Forms in Elbląg (1965), the Symposium of Visual Artists and Scientists in Puławy (1966).
