Leon Tarasewicz
b. 1957 A Polish painter of Belarusian descent, whose works bordered on painting and installation. A Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Decorated with the Knight?s Cross with Star of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2011) and the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture Gloria Artis. A winner of Jan Cybis Award (1998), the Nowosielski Foundation Award (1999), the Great Cultural Foundation Award (2007).
