Alina Szapocznikow

1926 - 1973 A Polish sculptor, graphic artist, draftswoman. From 1959, she lived in Paris. A winner of the Coplay Foundation Award (1965). Associated with the Nouveau Réalisme movement (Arman, César, Niki de Saint-Phalle, Pierre Restany). One of the most original sculptors of the second half of the 20th century, who made bold experiments by introducing new materials to the sculptor?s workshop.
