Jan Lebenstein
1930 - 1999 A Polish painter, graphic artist, illustrator, stage designer. From 1959, he lived in Paris. Decorated with the Grand Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (1998). A winner of the award at the 1st Biennale of the Young in Paris (1959) and Alfred Jurzykowski New York Foundation award (1976) and Jan Cybis Award (1987). Associated with the environment of the Paris Culture.
Works in collection: National Museum in Warsaw, Krakow, Poznań, Wrocław, Museum of Modern Art in New York, Hirshhorn Museum and Scuplture Garden Smithsonian Institution in Washington, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Musee National d'Art Moderne in Paris.
