Jan Dobkowski
b.1942 Artist, painter, draughtsman, author of spatial installations. He works in drawing, graphic illustration, outdoor and street actions, graffiti and film. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1968). Co-founder (together with Jerzy “Jurry” Zieliński) of the “Neo-Neo-Neo” group (1967–1970). During the period of martial law, he participated in actions of independent culture. Scholar of the Kościuszko Foundation in New York (1972). Winner of the Cyprian Kamil Norwid Award (1978) and the Jan Cybis Award (1994).
