1915 - 1990 A Polish theatre director, author of happenings, painter, stage designer, writer, theoretician of art, actor and teacher. A winner of the international Rembrandt Award (1978), Targa Europea Award (1982), Minister of Culture and Art award of 1st degree (1981). Decorated with the Gold Cross of Merit (1954), French Legion of Honour (1985), Commander of the Order of Art and Letters of France (1989) and the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (1990). Founder of the Cricot 2 Theatre.
