Edward Dwurnik
1943-2018 Artist, painter and graphic artist. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1970). In 1965, under the influence of a self-taught artist Nikifor Krynicki's exhibition, he adopted a similar style of painting which he later modified and developed. Winner of Cyprian Kamil Norwid Award (1981), the Solidarity Cultural Award (1983), the Nouvelle Biennale de Paris Award (1985), the Seoul Art Olympics Award (1988) and the Contemporary Art Foundation Award (1992). His oeuvre includes over 4,500 paintings, 3,500 watercolors and about 13,000 drawings.
