Everything Will Be Fine is a project that explores the emotions accompanying the beginning of new stages in life, such as entering adulthood, achieving professional independence, and starting an artistic practice after graduation. It presents a way of coping with challenges through the creation of a personal system of symbols that helps to tame fears and build strength and hope.
The symbolic world is represented by massive, totemic sculptures frozen in various poses, acting as personal guardians, guides, and role models. Their postures embody values such as courage, patience, perseverance, and positive thinking, qualities considered useful and desirable in today’s unstable world. The sculptures also point to the need to create one’s own mythology and rituals to draw upon, especially in moments of difficulty and uncertainty.
The elements present in the photograph refer to the well-known pop-cultural motif of fortune tellers predicting the future with the help of a crystal ball. This magical aura complements the scene. A symbolic curtain separates the spiritual, inner world from the reality visible outside the window, emphasizing the boundary between what is imagined and felt and what is real.
SOON_86 reflects on confronting oneself and making a decision, whether to remain within one’s own, often mistaken, perception of reality or to face real, complex yet exciting circumstances.
Justyna Kramarz - born in 1996 in Warsaw, is a visual artist working primarily with sculpture and installation. She graduated from the Media Art program at the Academy of Art in Szczecin and from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In her practice, she explores themes related to the search for identity and one’s place in society. She examines fragile relationships between the individual and the community, revealing tensions, peculiar rituals, and ambiguous belief systems. Using the language of private symbolism, she approaches art as an internal and therapeutic process that balances the intimate and the universal.
