We intended to define the Bloodstream project using the motif of flow, which we understand as the motion of people moving within the Spectra building. We placed a symbolic blue vein in the SOON_ project space, which is located inside an important circulation path. The vein is connected directly with the office building’s tissue. When people pass through this corridor, their perception of the organic system changes. It is also possible to experience the conductor by touching it and physically feeling the emitted energy, which depends on the ambient temperature.
Agnieszka Mastalerz – graduated from Prof. Mirosław Bałka’s Studio of Spatial Activities at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2018), visiting student of Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Hamburg (2017/2018). Laureate of 16th edition of the Hestia Artistic Journey contest, finalist of 9th Biennial of Youth Art “Fish Eye” and of the Grey House Foundation contest. Received the Grand Prix at the inSPIRACJE International Visual Arts Festival. Her works were shown, among others, in Zachęta – National Gallery of Art, Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, TRAFO Center for Contemporary Art in Szczecin, Gdansk City Gallery, Labyrinth Gallery in Lublin. Participated in exhibitions at the Goldsmiths College of the University of London, at the Columbia College in Chicago, at the Latvian Academy of Fine Arts in Riga, and at the Fondation Hippocrène in Paris. With the predominant use of video, performance and photography, she analyses mechanisms of control affecting the behaviour of an individual.
Michał Szaranowicz – graduated from Prof. Mirosław Bałka’s Studio of Spatial Activities at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2018), visiting student of Michael Hofstetter at the Akademie der bildenden Künste in Munich (2017/2018). Assistant to Tomek Kowalski, the stage designer, during the production of “Hurrah, we are still alive!”, a film by Agnieszka Polska. Selected collective exhibitions: imMobilized (Fondation Hippocrène, Paris 2018); Intangible Cultural Heritage (HFBK, Hamburg 2018); What’s up? (Labyrinth Gallery, Lublin 2017); Young Wolves 17’ (Academy of Art in Szczecin, 2017); Vicious Cycle (Artbox, Warsaw 2017). His works often address the topic of expressing the inner status with reference to the limitations of the medium of mechanical reproduction of painting.
