The installation created as part of SOON_43 is a tribute to imagination and a bridge to the topical issues; it is liberation of the woman in my thoughts. The central part is the painting titled Joyful Boundaries of Painting (IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE VIRGIN OF THE ROCKS). The work was created in the period of strong protests of women against the norms and prohibitions imposed on them. Therefore, when painting The Virgin of the Rocks, I decided to liberate her from the popular image in favour of freedom, which is not only men’s privilege. I wanted to depict a woman that is free from schemes, whose nature is to gleam with joy, madness, courage.
