Fourth Edition

”Four elements”

Tadeusz Brzozowski State High School of Visual Arts in Krosno

The aim of the project is to explore the relationship between nature and the title elements:

air, water, fire and earth, from the cognitive perspective of young visual arts students. The study of nature will be shown through visual and cinematic means of expression.

An internal school project competition for the script will be organised. The competition will select four groups of filmmakers who will prepare short films/diaporamas on the theme of the four elements. The project is inspired by the concepts of Professor Jerzy Ludwiński, author of the essays „Epoka błękitu’ („The blue epoch”), the work of Cezary Bodzianowski and photograms by Mikołaj Smoczyński.

The project draws attention with its innovative approach to the issue of the four elements. The project's priority is to engage students, to harness their creative potential as creators. After the experience of pandemic isolation, the project's emphasis on teamwork, on co-creation, has great integrative significance, and the activities undertaken go beyond the school curriculum.
