The "Wena" Gallery
The exhibition space of the Starak Family Foundation's “Wena” Gallery, located in Warsaw at 8 Bobrowiecka Street, was established in December 2023 with the aim of presenting the art of the youngest artists.
How to combine traditional painting en plein air with precise design of sensory spatial forms? Such a challenge was posed to the youth of a Bydgoszcz artist by the curators of the latest exhibition at the WENA Gallery.

The history of toys created at the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Nałęczów dates back over 120 years and is closely tied to the region’s rich tradition of toy-making. The school in Nałęczów has become a center where traditional craftsmanship blends with artistic expression, producing toys prized for their quality and “soul.” We invite you to the exhibition and a chance to experience the heritage of Nałęczów toys.
The experience of the role and significance of the exhibition context, as well as working with a new material—resin—are among the most important aspects of the “1:1” educational and artistic project, carried out by the Gronowo Górne High School of Fine Arts under the guidance of Monika Walas, a sculpture teacher and artist, which was awarded in the 6th edition of the “Wena” Grant Program Competition of the Starak Family Foundation, titled “A Map on a Scale of One to One.”
The plan for the 2025 summer vacation at the Gallery was shaped by cartographic and mental maps of Piotrków Trybunalski.
At the 2024/2025 Christmas exhibition, we presented paintings from the archives of the Józef Chełmoński State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Nałęczów, as well as works by students participating in educational awarded in the “Wena” Grant Program competitions organized by the Starak Family Foundation, which supports the artistic education of young people who see their future in the arts.
On October 28, 2024, there was a vernissage of spatial wicker objects created as part of an educational and artistic project entitled “The Art of Observing Art,” which won an award in the fifth edition of the Starak Family Foundation's ‘Wena’ Grant Program Competition. The exhibition was on display until November 28, 2024.
