Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw
The Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw is the oldest artistic college in Poland. In over a hundred years of its existence, it has developed the talents of young artists. Each painter, sculptor and graphic artist is given a chance to attend courses s/he has dreamt of. The Academy of Fine Arts provides students with a unique chance for an artistic self-development, also in the fields of Fine Art Conservation and Restoration, New Media Art, where they can specialize in animation, photography or audiovisual space. The faculties provide vast perspectives, producing future interior architects, art historians and designers. Friends of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw
The Society of Friends of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw was established by its founding members in 2008, right after the opening of the Museum’s first headquarters at 3 Pańska Street. The Society acts for the benefit of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and possesses the status of a Public Benefit Organization. During the last 10 years of its existence, the Society supported a considerable number of acquisitions to the Museum’s collection and helped to provide the Museum’s contribution to the acquisitions programme supported by ministerial funds. The statutory goal of popularizing contemporary and modern art is realized through e.g. preparing and publishing collector’s editions which are developed in cooperation with a number of artists related with the Museum. The Society is also engaged in creating a circle of philanthropists, collectors, professionals and experts, fostering an exchange of knowledge and experiences between modern art collectors, advisors and other members of the art market. → https://wspieraj.artmuseum.pl/en
Academic Design Center in Lodz
Unit organized by the Wladyslaw Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, bringing together the design departments of eight art colleges in Poland. Together with students and didactics, it conducts extensive activities on the border of art and design. The historic building of the Academic Design Center, built in the heart of the former empire of Lodz factory owner Karol Scheibler, is the site of many exhibitions by renowned artists and creators. Its multifunctional spaces and facilities - including two large-format printing plotters, computer and workshop rooms, a 3D printer, a sewing machine or many multimedia accessories - make it possible to organize a variety of educational meetings for people of all ages. The cadre of workshops and educators consists of esteemed educators and artists, including the artistic director of the “Powidoki” magazine, Przemyslaw Hajek, as well as the fashion designer of the younger generation, Tomasz Armada. The ACD also aims to cooperate with industry, including building a bridge between business and science through joint research and development and design work.
