The idea behind the concept is to act together and promote pro-ecological thought in an artistic interdisciplinary activity. The broad horizon of art in the project will be represented by paintings, graphics, sculpture and textiles.
The project is a complete artistic statement with the overriding aim of drawing attention to zero waste activities at home and abroad. The main means of expression and artistic thought is interdisciplinary action ranging from painting to textiles using recycled materials. The variety of tools with which the pupils will become acquainted through the project is innovative and goes beyond the school curriculum. Pupils will be able to develop competences related to the management of an artistic project, which is a unique composition of knowledge, skills and a young person's workshop. The common goal will become the seed of a special concern for ecology and the environment.
The components of the project are: a lecture on ecology and a 'zero waste' attitude to provoke reflection on man's relationship with nature, a designed project logo and 'take a look' labels, together with the development of a manifesto in Polish and English, mobile stickers designed from recycled materials to promote the performance and a final presentation of the works in public spaces in Poland, Germany, Brussels, Belgium. An opening of the works in the school gallery is also forseen.
