HORIZONS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 6th Edition

The Starak Family Foundation has decided, with the greatest satisfaction, to award 31 of the 57 four-year scholarships in the 2021/2022 school year to students throughout Poland who are enrolling to the most interesting high schools in the country and who have met the criteria for the Horizons Scholarship Program which has been implemented for six years in cooperation with the EFC Foundation.

So far, the Starak Family Foundation has provided 220 students from small towns and villages with a full scholarship package for six editions since 2016, enabling them to study and develop in schools located in large cities across the country, thanks to which 120 graduates have already stood on their own feet, at workplaces and at universities in Poland, and some of them have attempted to start and continue their studies abroad, including one of the Program's graduates at Oxford University.

Currently 180 students are covered by scholarships funded by the Horizons Program, of which 100 are financed from the Starak Family Foundation's funds.

The cost of one scholarship this school year is over 21 000 Polish Zlotys annually, which includes the following benefit package:

- accommodation in the city of residence of the high school of your choice from the list of high schools included in the program,

- English language courses with the possibility of passing the chosen certificate,

- care of a dedicated tutor and, if necessary, a psychologist,

- development plan under the guidance of a tutor in the chosen field of study,

- vacations and winter break with sports lessons,

- joint meetings once a month with other scholarship holders from a given city, together with transport tickets,

- expenses for selected needs, among others, we provide swimming lessons to all of them, encourage sports and attend events related to culture and art,

- this year, the Horizons Scholarship has been enriched by the opportunity to meet and converse with students from Oxford and Cambridge.

As the Starak Family Foundation, we are extremely happy to support young people and help them fulfil their aspirations, which they would not be able to fulfil without the Foundation's support.
