Magdalena Abakanowicz left an important legacy and monumental revealing oeuvre. While exploring the present day, she reached for the sources of symbols rooted in ancient civilisations and in the eternal laws of nature.
Called a pioneer and innovator already during her lifetime. Honoured with numerous titles and awards, she became the most prominent worldrenowned Polish artist. We believe that her timeless and universal work will provide researchers with avast room for new interpretations and us with unique space for contemplation and reflection.
On the 90th anniversary of the artist’s birthday, we reminisce about her achievements and pay tribute to her thought and output.
