“MORE LIGHT” COMPETITION

2023/05/15

“More light” competition

The “More light” competition is the first initiative of the Craftsmanship programme.

The programme will feature annual competitions that will give creators an opportunity to carry out unique projects. In this way, the Starak Family Foundation wishes to honour those who are able to shape bold ideas into unique objects that give character to the space around them

We are looking for original and unique works that are handmade or partly handmade using the technique and materials proposed by the creator. They should be characterised by an original concept, a non-trivial artistic premise and exceptional aesthetic values. We are interested in the narratives embodied in the objects created, the stories about their meaning, the tradition of creation, the search for perfection and the craftsmanship of their fabrication.

The task of this year’s “More light” competition is to design and build a candelabra as a self-contained piece of applied arts.
