Craftsmanship – a new programme launched by the Starak Family Foundation
Craftsmanship is a programme about people and the things they create; about the relationship between the work and the craftsman and designer. We want to showcase the potential of these relationships, which are rooted in the history of manufacturing.
The objective of the programme is to support new artistic craft by fostering the development of innovative design thought and experimental work with materials. The programme is to serve as an area for the exchange of experiences and the sharing of knowledge about artistic craft.
The programme is meant to encourage the pursuit of original ideas, giving them a chance to come to fruition and thereby be a testament to the potential of handmade utility objects. It is targeted at creators working in the field of design and manufacture of utility and decorative objects.
